“This DJ, Dave Timmins was the DJ for my wedding back in 1999, he is brilliant! So if you need a DJ, book him!!”
Tracey, Wedding
Over many years, DJT-Disco has had the pleasure of being part of many couple’s Big Day in many venues across the West Midlands, ranging from Hotels, Social Clubs and Marquees.
Organising Weddings can be a stressful experience, and one of the most overlooked and most remembered part of any wedding is the reception. From initial enquiry for your wedding reception entertainment, DJ Dave will work with you, sharing his vast experience to ensure your Big Day will remembered by everyone for the right reasons.
Your first dance together as a married couple is one of the most remembered moments from any wedding reception. That is why from the inital DJ Dave will enquire on your first dance (or dances), and any specific requests or requirements you and your guests would like to hear during your Big Day's evening entertainement. These requests can take the form of lists supplied before the wedding day, or individual requests during the celebration. DJ Dave actively encourages guests to request music, throughout the evening.

The First Dance…
As the happy couple’s first dance together is one of the most important moments of the evening, DJ Dave likes to ensure he has the happy couple’s first dance and any other special song (or songs) prepared before the big day. As DJT-Disco does not stream tracks from the internet (see FAQ page), having the (in some cases the correct version) of the special songs prior to the celebration is just one of the very important details DJ Dave takes very seriously. During those special moments, the back-up equipment will be primed, loaded, ready to take over at any moment, just in case the unexpected happens! This this backup has never been required yet in over 25 years of DJT-Disco, and hopefully never will, but it’s one less detail for the Newley Wed’s to worry about before and during their Big Day. DJT-Disco will also liaise with any photographers/videographers prior to the big moment, so they don’t miss a single moment.

When is the Happy Couples First dance?
Traditionally, the Bride and Groom perform their first dance together as Husband and Wife before anybody else takes to the dance floor during the celebration. However, a lot of couples now days prefer to take their special moment later in the proceedings, like after the evening buffet to give evening guests time to arrive for example. This is absolutely no problem for DJT-Disco, and only asks for a decision at the start of the evening’s celebrations so DJ Dave either encourage people onto the dancefloor from the start of the Reception, or keep it clear ready for the Newley Wed’s

Most wedding venues now request Public Liability and PAT certificates before they allow any entertainers or service provides on site. DJT-Disco can provide these either directly to the venue or to the clients to forward. Risk assessments have also been known to be requested by the venue, which is also can be supplied on request.
