Q.How much do you charge?
A.DJT-Disco's fees are based on times, venue, (access, equipment requirements, location), evening party or daytime party etc, After all, would you expect to pay the same for a 2 hour children’s 5 year old party and an all night wedding reception from 7pm to midnight? (DJT-Disco does not have a Wedding Surcharge policy)
With any enquiry, if you know the venue, times and date of the party, DJT-Disco can give you an accurate quote and check availability for your event/party.
If DJT-Disco is unavailable check out the links for other DJ's and entertainers
Q.Do you have Certifications?
A.Most venues today require Public Liability Insurance (PLI), Portable Appliance Test (PAT) certification at the very least. DJT-Disco is covered by PLI, PAT and Produb (license to download and "format-shift" digital music to a laptop for performace), and DBS checked. All certifications can be supplied on request to either the venue directly or to yourselves to forward to the venue

Why is it important for an entertainer to have Public Liability?
Like all insurance policies, it is hoped they will never be needed. DJT-Disco takes the health and safety of the guests around the disco equipment very seriously to minimise any risk. Some of these measures include taping down of cables, regular Portable Appliance Testing (PAT), visible tape around DJ area if the equipment is on the same level as the guests (e.g. no stage in the venue). However, if the unthinkable does happen, DJT-Disco is insured for Public liability.
If an accident does happen, the injured party or venue could seek damages from the entertainer if they are at fault. If the entertainer is not insured, there are horror stories of the claimants trying to claim from the party hosts and venues. This is a reason why venues require certification of Public Liability!
What is PAT and why is it important?
A portable appliance test is not required legally. However, it does ensure that the electrical equipment is tested and inspected for safety regularly, (usually a year for DJ’s, Bands and Discos), and is a requirement of many insurance for venues. DJT-Disco hold a current PAT certificate, and uses a 30mA RCD trip to connect equipment to the venues mains supply, (both domestic and 16A industrial supplies)
If the entertainer does not have a PAT certificate and does not have their equipment tested regularly, they could be using unsafe equipment and many venues will not allow them to plug into their mains power supplies
